I’m Sarah Ellen, a collage artist and workshop facilitator based in South West England.

My practice is rooted in mindfulness and analogue processes, with a belief that creativity thrives when we slow down. I work with hand-cut vintage materials, found imagery, and screen printing to create tactile work that embraces imperfection and presence. With a background in graphic design and an MA in Visual Communication, my work has been featured in publications like SHEET Magazine by Urban Outfitters.

Alongside my studio practice, I run mindful collage and bookmaking workshops that encourage creative engagement over perfection. Open to all skill levels, these sessions use curated prompts and materials to support playful, hands-on making in a relaxed, inclusive setting.

I’m currently an artist in residence at Solent University, exploring collage as a personal, pedagogical, and professional practice.

When I’m not making, you’ll find me doing yoga, cycling, or getting psyched for my next adventure.

Professional qualifications:
Master of Arts (Distinction) in Visual Communication
First Class BA (Hons) Graphic Web & Media Design
